Twinmusix Chat With Lexxi Foxx About Their Upcoming Tour And More
What can fans expect from your Australian tour?
You can expect a whole new set, we are promoting our new record lower the bar, we are super excited to be out there because we love Australia. It's going to be a totally different show from last time, I'm totally excited to be out there and i am going to be rocking my heart out.
In 2014 you brought out your album "All you can eat", the album cover was a parody of the last supper how did you come up with the idea?
We thought it would be a really good idea to do something different from what we normally do.
If you could have any band play one of your songs which band which song and in your style or theirs?
I would get NSYNC to reform and play "Death To All But Metal".
What's your craziest fan story?
We were all having a good time on the tour bus, we were all having fun and chilling out after one of our shows. We decided to open the door on the bus and there was a girl pooping outside of it onto the floor.
You have created a few YouTube shows over your time, including "Science Panther and Love on the Rocks" Can we expect any new shows?
I'm not sure, if we wanted to do something like that we would want it to be a surprise.
You change your name from Metal Shop to Metal Skool to Steel Panther, and when you were Metal shop you released your album "Hole Patrol" would you ever re consider releasing it?
We are actually just talking about that right now, we are going to be releasing some of those songs. We are already recording some of those songs.
What bass guitar do you use on stage compared to what you use in the studio?
It depends what song we do sometimes I change bases around depending on what sound I want to go for. I use different gear on stage to what i do in the studio; we use different tricks to get the best sounds we possibly can.
Do you think you will ever bring out your own signature bass guitar?
Yes, I'm about to sign a deal with Schecter Bass Guitars and i am going to have my own line of basses.
How much input do you have on your outfits and colour schemes when you are on tour?
It's all my input, I have a designer called Darren. We come up with something for every tour so the outfit for my Australian tour will be fun
What's your favourite song to perform live off Lower the bar?
Right now it's "Wasted Too Much Time".
What's your favourite memory attending a gig?
Watching The Darkness play has been one of my favourite shows.
How do decide what songs you play on tour?
We all sit down and talk about it, this tour we are going to try and play as many of the songs of the new record as we can. We will also throw some old songs in as well.
Anything else you want to announce to your fans?
We are looking forward to our show in Australia and can't wait to get over there.
