DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL LAUNCH PARTY

The Download Festival launch party was held last night at Utopia Records. The beer and wine were flowing, the pizza was hot and delicious. Best of all the room was filled with the top promoters, media outlets and competition winners, who were ecstatic that the line-up announcement had gone so well. How could it not with such an amazing group of bands.

On Wednesday morning the fans saw the line-up of bands hit social media, with Behemoth leaking the information as early as 8am. Thankfully there were no repercussions for their actions. As promoters found this out they all scrambled to release it to all media outlets.

He also confirmed that there were two more waves of announcements to come with both international and domestic acts and up to thirteen more acts to be confirmed. It is expected that five Australian acts will feature and that there will be a second wave of confirmations from eight bands which may include internationals or a mix of international and local acts.
