HOW DO YOU FEEL HERE AT HELLFEST?
It is our first time here and I was blown away.
YOU HAVE BEEN PLAYING FOR 26 YEARS WHAT KEEPS YOUR MOTERVATION INTAKE?
The opportunity to play I said it on the microphone on stage, I was like wow people coming to France for a band the band broke up 15 to 16 years ago. We came to France and there was a magic powerful energy, right so to get this gig is a blessing. We are very excited to come and that people showed up, if that doesn’t give you energy what will.
I WAS JUST WONDERING WHY YOU WERE WEARING A T-SHIRT FROM JUSTIN BIEBER?
Well I love Judas Priest, right you understand that and I’m a huge Justin Bieber fan. He sings “Baby baby I can’t wait for you to be my Baby”. I’m also a massive AC/DC and Abba fan.
HOW IS THE TOUR?
Its going good started on June 1st pretty much leading up to Hellfest this show then tomorrow then more shows. Then we have some time off and come back as the band and we tour July 8th to August in Europe.
HOW WAS THE CROWD AT HELLFEST?
Good, great energy my friends have played these festivals and said you should play and I said I would love to do that. We had a lot of things leading up to that and we managed to get to that stage and we talked to Phil Campbell and I love Phil Campbell. I’m also a big Aerosmith fan. It’s amazing to walk out and embrace a big crowd like that. So the crowd was great everyone in the festival was super cool.
DO YOU HAVE ANY PLANS FOR A NEW ALBUM?
No plans, but there is always a song somewhere right.
YOUR EARLY MUSIC WAS HEAVLEY INFLUENCED BY BLACK SABBATH AND I HAVE EVEN HEARD YOU COVER SOME OF THEIR SONGS WITH THAT IN MIND HOW DID YOU FEEL THE FIRST TIME YOU OPENED FOR OZZY?
Were kids we grew up in the same town about three blocks from each other and those were the records we listened to so when we got a record deal as kids and we got the opening slot for motor head and Ozzy Ozbourne it made us feel super excited and grateful Ozzy Ozbourne rules and motor head rules.
WOULD YOU COLLABORATE WITH HIM IN THE FUTURE?
We live for Black Sabbath he’s (Ozzie) one of my favourite artist I’m wearing one of my favourite shirts that says orchestra of doom. I lived in Italy a year ago, for four months and I sang with a 34 piece orchestra. I did a Black Sabbath Ozzy Ozborune, Euro Black Sabbath songs. It was amazing as Ozzy actually sent me a bunch of stuff. As far as collaborations or anything to do with Black Sabbath the answer would be of course yes.
ARE YOU GOING TO DO A LIVE DVD?
We have never done that, but we have a bunch of footage that we think is cool or could be cool. I think the answer will be yes we plan on making new music and being creative and plan on touring.
ARE YOU COMING TO AUSTRALIA ANYTIME SOON?
Yes I just lived in Melbourne for 3 months and we plan on coming in December.
