Twinmusix talk to Tuomas from Wolfheart About their new album Constellation Of The Black Light and more
TM- What can fans expect from your new album Constellation Of The Black Light?
Fans can expect an album similar to our previous albums. New fans can expect a combination of death metal, black metal and doom metal.
TM- What was the writing and recording process on Constellation Of The Black Light?
The writing process has always been the same, it doesn't differ. The writing process is ongoing, I always constantly have new material. The writing and the recording process was difficult this time, we had a lot of technical and personal issues for example our drummer had to get back surgery it was difficult to keep the schedules and get everything done on time but everything in the studio. Except the process went well.
TM- You recently went on your Canadian tour, what was your favourite memory from that?
Driving through the Rocky Mountains was a pretty cool experience, we don't have that in Finland. it was a really cool experience it and it was a really good trip, I really enjoyed the two weeks.
TM- Who designed your new album cover for Constellation Of The Black Light and what's the meaning behind it?
I have one particular guy from Grease who does all my graphic work for my t-shirts and banners, the point of the album cover is to show a dark dimension.
TM- What brands of instruments do you use?
My drummer uses Yamaha and i use Amfisound Guitars everything is hand crafted and my other guitar player uses BC Rich
TM- How did you get signed by napalm records can you tell us the story behind it?
They asked us a few years ago what our situation was, I said we still have one more record to record and then we will be free. Once we finished the last record I sent them an email and then we start the negotiation on a contract to sign to Napalm Records.
TM- If you could have any band play one of your songs which band would it be with song would it be and would it be in your style or their style?
Antimatter to do an acoustic version of one of us songs
TM- If you could choose any song title as a biography title for your band what would it be and why?
I would choose the last song of the previous album which was also the title song. Tyhjyys that would be the best way to describe the Finnish mentality.
TM- What's your favourite memory of watching someone else play live?
I have a different approach because I've been working in Finland as a producer for 15 years. My best experiences watching bands on stage and perform not from an audience point of view.
The coolest things was when heaven and hell was playing in Finland and you see a lot of those old timer legendary bands but most of them you can tell they are just really tired you don't really see the excitement anymore.
TM- Anything else you want to announce to your fans?
started to see some proposals in my emails about some first possible gigs to Australia so that would be cool to see all our fans there.
