What can fans expect from your new album Disolution?
That's a good question, things have changed since Gavin Harrison joined the band on drums, a lot of good things have come from our new drummer.
What was your writing and recording process for Disolution?
I would come up with the guitar solo of course and then I sent it to Gavin and he would add drums and send it back then I continued working its like jamming when you're far apart.
How did you come up with your album cover for Disolution?
There's a British company called Stylo Rouge they did all the work for Trainspotting and they are really up for doing our album so I sent them all our previous albums and discussed what we wanted and they came up with the rest.
What gear do you use on stage compared to in the studio?
kemper and a wedge at the front so I can get that feedback, 2 acoustic Taylor guitars, Fender.
What is your best memory on Tour?
Well it's not my best memory, except it's not the worst, it was definitely an interesting experience. Back in 2010 on our first tour our agent booked us this huge venue and told us we were the next big thing and we only sold 29 tickets we were backstage and there was only a small amount of people waiting for us to come on however they said we love you don't worry well be back and cheered.
I loved this experience as it proves that with determination and persistence you can achieve anything.
If you could have any band play one of your songs which band would it be which song and in your style or theirs?
Foo Fighters playing one of our songs.
If you could pick any song title as a Biography title for your band what would it be?
The Final Thing On My Mind
What's your view on platforms like Spotify and YouTube?
I think something needs to change bands don't make enough from it but maybe the future model is you have to give music away for free and you make money from touring and merchandise.
Anything else you want to announce to your fans?
We are looking at coming to Australia and buy our new record.
