TM - Hi, this is Amelia and Elizabeth from Twinmusix, and we are here with Al Anderson from "The Original Wailers" Thank you for having this interview with us today. We appreciate it.
AA - Thank you.
TM - What can fans expect from your Australian tour?
AA - They can expect some excitement. We are excited to be back in Australia. We have been back every year from the mid-seventies till now, and it is one of my favourite places. Australia and New Zealand have treated us very well as artists and musicians, it is a good place to be. We look forward to our tour, and hopefully we will bring some new material to the table.
TM - What can fans expect from your setlist?
AA - That will be a surprise, but some of it will be familiar. We will definitely play some legendary songs.
TM - What can fans expect from your new Music?
AA - We have been in the studio for the last 3 years and have been trying to finish the EP. We hope it is finished by March. We would like to have it so we can distribute it to fans in Australia and New Zealand, and everyone around the world, and our friends and loved ones. We also hope to have a single out.
TM - What was your writing and recording process?
AA - Our writing and recording process is very expensive, and that's why we subsidise it by going on tour. We might have a famous singer on our new EP. We also write our songs in the studio.
TM - If You Could Re live a moment in your career, what would it be?
AA - Everything is still alive in my soul. I met reggae music and all the artists. I had the pleasure of working and touring with so many great artists. I lived with some amazing artists when I first got to Jamaica. Over to Hellshire Beach, and I had a sea bath and some fried fish that was something that I had never witnessed before. The water, and that sand and the food were amazing. I like food, and Jamaica has a wide variety of food and wonderful chefs. That was one of our great moments, being fed by the Rastafari man.
TM - What is your favourite memory with Bob Marley?
AA - My favourite memory was going into rehearsal rooms with Bob and Peter for a few weeks. Bob Marley and the Wailers. We went on tour with Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson, and being in a room with them and on tour with them was amazing.
TM - If you could have any band play one of your songs, what band would it be, what song would it be, and would it be in your style or their style?
AA - I would like to hear a Motown artist play "No Woman, No Cry" or "Smokey Robinson".
TM - Is there anything else you want to say to your fans?
AA - We are looking forward to connecting with all our fans, friends, and loved ones in Australia next year in 2027 and ticking off our tour. We look forward to playing the songs that you are familiar with and some new material.
