TM - Hi, this is Amelia and Elizabeth from Twinmusix, and we are here with Stormhammer. Thank you for having this interview with us; we appreciate it.
SH - Thank you.
TM - What can fans expect from your new album "Wrath Of The Hammer"?
SH - This album is heavier and sounds more like Thrash metal. We are going back to the times of the "Welcome to the End" Album. We thought it would be better going in that direction than our other album "Seven Seals", which had heavier and faster tracks.
TM - What was your writing and recording process for "Wrath Of The Hammer"?
SH - We recorded it pretty fast. Then we had some drum problems, but it worked out in the end. I think the result came out pretty good.
TM - Who produced your album "Wrath Of The Hammer"?
SH - Mastersound Studio and Alex Krull produced it. He normally does black metal bands, so he doesn't normally do our genre. He had a good idea about what our song should sound like, and he did a great job.
TM - Who designed your album cover for "Wrath Of The Hammer"?
SH - The album cover was created by the design studio Arcane Designs. The idea behind the album cover was a man taking a boat to these stars.
TM - Do you have any upcoming tours?
SH - We are working on it at the moment, hopefully we can go out in autumn or spring, but nothing is confirmed.
TM - What is your favourite song from your new album?
SH - "Shattered Dominion" is a good song. We have already played it in Munich. We played it last year at festivals, and our new songs are accepted by the fans.
TM - If you could have any band play one of your songs, what band would you choose, What song would you choose and would it be in your style or their style?
SH - Amorphis, it would be cool to hear them interpret one of our songs, in their style.
TM - Who was the first band or Artist you saw live, and can you tell us a story?
SH - "Supertramp" in Munich. It was my first live concert and I was 17 years old. I was just old enough to go to the show. I went with some friends, and it was an 18 plus show. They didn't ask for our ID, so it was awesome.
TM - If you could go back in a time machine, who would you see live?
SH - When I first started playing bass guitar, I was into "Yes and Rush". I would go back and see one of those bands live.
TM - If you could play any festival, what would you play?
SH - We would love to play Wacken Open Air. We have never played it, and there's a lot of audience we could reach. We would also love to play Hellfest or Summer Breeze.
TM - Is there Anything else you want to say to your fans?
SH - I hope our fans like our new album.
