TM - Hi, this is Amelia and Elizabeth from Twinmusix and we are here with John from Snot, Thank you for having this interview with us today we appreciate it.
JN - Thank you.
TM - What can fans expect from your Australian tour?
JN - Fans can expect to hear almost the whole album of "Get Some" and expect to meet our new singer Andy Knap, he is doing an amazing job. For those who haven't seen us before we have a lot of footage floating around on YouTube. We are going to bring the show down under and bring the fire and I am looking forward to it.
TM - You are also playing with Soulfly, that's cool.
JN - Yes, they have been friends of ours since the 90s. Mikey, our guitar player, was in Soulfly for quite a while after Lynn Strait passed so we definitely have family there and a long history and friendship.
TM - Are you working on any new music?
JN - Mikey and I put together two new badass songs, and Jamie did drums for it maybe a month ago. We are going to start working with Andy and put a new Snot song out, hopefully, it will be out by January.
TM - If you could have any band play one of your songs what band would it be what song would it be and would it be in your style or their style?
JN - I am going to pick a band from Australia which I have an obsession with, and I love them, and they are called "The Church". They are a very old band from 40 years ago and i would have them play "Get Some" in their style. I would love to hear what "Steve Kilbey" would come up with.
TM - Who was the first band you saw live and can you tell us a story?
JN - Another Australian band AC/DC. We were in junior high school, and it was right after Bon Scott had died and it was the Back in Black tour in 1980. I will never forget the chills that came over my body and thinking that is what you need to do. I will never forget that feeling it pretty much changed my life.
TM - What's your favourite festival you have played this year ?
JN - Rockville, it is a festival in Florida at Daytona Speedway. It was cool, we got to ride in golf carts around the race track so we would go stage to stage if we wanted to see a different band and they would pick us up in golf carts. We would zip out on the race track and bust down it was pretty cool. I had my camera out and was like wow I'm on a race track. That was a great festival for us and it was our first introduction with Andy in front of a huge crowd and my very dear friend Shannon Larkin was on drums with "Snot" and that was a memorable experience.
TM - If you could play any festival what would you play?
JN - I think Download in England would be fun to do. Hopefully, next year we might return to Hellfest in France. We played that years ago, the way they have that festival laid out is cool, it is like Mad Max and a destroyed City. They spend a lot of time creating things to look at, they have walls around it and crazy looking goth stuff, it's really cool.
TM - Is there anything else you want to say to your fans?
JN - We love Australia and we will be there in January so come out and get some and we will see everybody there.
TM - Thank you for having this interview with us today we appreciate it.
JN - Thank you.
