Twinmusix got to speak to Adam Gontier from Saint Asonia about there new album and more.

TM - You just released your new album 'Flawed Design', how have fans responded to your new album?

AG - so far the fans have loved it and it has been exciting for sure.

TM - What is your favorite song of your new album?

AG - It is pretty hard to pick a favorite since I'm pretty close to all of them. One of my favorites is Ghost for sure.

TM - What was your writing and recording process for your new album 'Flawed Design'?

AG - The writing and recording process was longer than we thought it would be. We started writing this album in 2016, in late 2017 we took a break for some personal things that we were going on. Then when we got back together and recorded the rest of the album in New York.

TM - If you could have any band play one of your songs, what band would it be, what sang and in your style or their style?

AG - John Bonhan, Doing Let Me Live My Life would be fantastic.

TM - If you could collaborate with any artists who would it be and why?

AG - Five Finger Death Punch would be awesome to collaborate with.

TM - What is your favorite memory of watching someone else peform live?

 

AG - When I was a kid I watched Elton John play with my mom it was a pretty awesome. It is something I will never forget.

 

TM - That's awesome, I love Elton John. I am a fan too.

TM - What is your favorite song to play on tour and can we expect you in Australia anytime soon?

AG - Blind is one of my favourite songs to play live. Hopefully we will come to Australia next year. We would love to come solo or jump on a tour with someone.

 

TM - We would would love to see you here.

TM - You have your own solo project, can you tell us more about that?

AG - It sat down and wrote what came to me at the time. I am doing it in between my other projects, so hopefully in a couple of years I'll be able to focus on that. At the moment I'm focusing on Saint Asonia.

TM - Your singed with spine farm records what drew you to that lable?

AG - We choose a label that has the same ideas and goals as us. They are passionate about the band and a smaller label.

TM - You played with Disturbed in 2015, how was that?

AG - It was great, I would get up every night and do Killing In The Name Of by Rage Against the Machine with Disturbed.

 

TM - I love that song, what great memories.

TM - What is your favorite memory of playing with someone else live on stage?

AG - I used to get up with Breaking Benjamin and sing Dance with the Devil.

TM - What advice would you give to up-and-coming bands?

AG - Never stop playing live shows and always give it your best.

TM - Is there anything else you want to say to your fans?

AG - We had a really good time making the record and we hope everyone checks it out.
