The days are long and summer is in full force, we are lucky enough to experience some of the best metal festivals in the world that are held in Europe, and Rockfest Barcelona is one of them. This year Rockfest falls over the 5th, 6th and 7th of July 2018 and the headliners of this festival are Kiss, Ozzy Osbourne and Judas Priest.
My twin sister and I are super excited to be flying over from Sydney Australia to do Press and Photography at Rock Fest Barcelona. We can’t wait to experience such an amazing festival and immerse ourselves in such a fantastic line up. This year, just like every other, they have done it again and delivered another line up that never fails to please.
Rockfest kicked off in 2014 at The Parc de Can Zam in Santa Coloma de Gramenet in Barcelona, the headliners for 2014 were Manowar, Twisted Sister, Sabaton and Kreator and with such big headliners you knew this year would be hard to top. Rockfest Barcelona started off with a bang and now fans on a international scale are ecstatic to come to this festival! Rock Fest has continued to smash their line ups out of the park over the years. In 2015 they brought over Scorpion, Judas Priest, Status Quo and Europe, In 2016 Iron Maiden, Whitesnake and Slayer played and last year Aerosmith, Alice Cooper and Deep purple played.
Kiss kicked off their career in the 1970’s and they are now Americas number one Gold Record Award winning group of all time. Kiss has been inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They have released 44 albums and sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. This year Kiss will be heading Rockfest and man will they put on one hell of a show, the legends really know how to entertain and we are super excied to watch them for the first time. With hits like “Rock and Roll All Nite” and “I Was Made for Lovin' You”.
Black Sabbath formed in the 1970’s they had their acclaimed success with their albums Black Sabbath and Paranoid. In the 1980’s Ozzy Osbourne went into his solo career, songs like “Crazy Train” and “Mr. Crowley” shot Ozzy into the charts and he has had an amazing solo career. In 2005 Ozzy Osbourne did a tour with Black Sabbath and they got inducted into the hall of fame. Ozzy released his last album Live (Salt Lake City 1983) in 2014.
Judas Priest formed in the 1970’s and they have released 28 albums to this day. They have released hits we all know and love including “Breakin' the Law” and “You've Got Another Thing Comin”. This year Judas Priest released their album “Fire Power” and Twinmusix can’t wait to hear this perfectly executed album live.
Twinmusix are excited to immures ourselves in the Rock culture of Rock Fest!. We can't wait to Interview, take photography and Rock out with everyone at the one and only Rock Fest Barcelona!
