Twinmusix talk to Mike from Red Sun Rising about their new Album and more 

What can fans expect from your new album Thread?

This album we are going in a different direction, our lyrics are very dark and personal.
 
How did you come up with your album cover for Thread?

We went back and forward with an artist until we got it right.

What was your writing process on your album Thread?

Ryan and myself wrote songs together and then we presented it to the band and they add their flavours to it.

Do you write on the road?

We write on the road a lot, we will on a song or idea out and write as much as possible, we also record on our phones and computers.

If you could have any band play one of your songs which band which song and in your style or theirs?

The Beatles playing one of those songs in their style.

 What gear do you use in the studio, compared to what you use on the road?

 Fender Jazzmaster, Gibson Les Paul and other  stuff.

 you built your following on social media, what's your view on platforms like Spotify and YouTube?

 No matter what your budget is you can always put your video of your music up on YouTube and get it out to new fans, and if people like it that can really change your situation.

 How did you come up with your video for Death Wish?

 the video was loosely based on the lyrical content, we used the apocalyptic storyline that's represented in the video as an example of what we were talking about in the lyrics because the lyrics themselves arnt apocalyptic in the worldly sense it's more apocalyptic in the personal sense.

 How do you decide what you're going to play on tour?

That's getting more difficult before we had to do more of our popular songs because we were the support act now that we are getting more shows being the Headline Act we mix it up. We are a 100% live bands which means we can decide to change the song we were playing at any time.

 What's your favourite memory with your fans?

 The first time me to it extensively on our first record and we came back to play a show in Columbus Ohio the welcome home fired from the fans was so overwhelming and we got choked up our fans are so excited to see us walk on stage.

 Anything else you'd like to announce to your fans?

 Listen to our record, come out and see us live and have a good time.
