Possessed

TM - Hi, this is Amelia and Elizabeth from Twinmusix and we are here with Jeff from Possessed, Thank You for having this interview with us today, we appreciate it.

JF - Thank you.

TM - What can fans expect from your Australian tour?

JF - I have been trying to get to Australia for a decade, so it is definitely on my bucket list, it has been a long time coming.

TM - What can fans expect from your setlist?

JF - We are going to be bringing our music to Australia for the very first time, it is going to be exciting and it is definitely on my bucket list. I am nervous, excited and very hopeful. My plan is to play songs from the album "Seven Churches" and mix some other songs in.

TM - Australia is on your bucket list, what are you looking forward to doing here?

JF - It was like the Wild Wild West growing up. There are some major cities where you can draw a crowd so im hoping people will show up and we will make some new fans and some old fans happy.

TM - Are you working on any new music?

JF - I missed my first interview because I was recording vocals. My manager rang me and said Jeff, what are you doing and I said oops. It has been a long time coming. It is nerve racking, and the record company has a timeline.

TM - What's your favourite music festival you have played?

JF - I love everything from a big festival to a small Club and they are all equally amazing for me. I get up and yell for a living and people want to hear it so I don't care if there is 13 people or 150,000 people. I enjoy it, I like being up close in a small club with a s***** pa and I like playing the big festivals because all the things I gave up for possessed were for a good reason.

TM - If you could make a festival who would your headline acts be?

JF - Morbid Angel, Possessed and Atheist. I am so excited and I can't wait to come to Australia. This will be my sixth Continent, now i just need one more.

TM - Now you need Antarctica.

JF - I was trying to start a chapter of my club in Antarctica. There are people in Antarctica who study emperor penguins for nine months of the year, and we lost communication. I think Metallica played Antarctica.

TM - Now Possessed take Antarctica.

JF - I Think it would be a normal sized crowd too.

TM - That would be cool.

JF - I don't think there are many people down there.

TM - There are always cruises to Antarctica, just go on a cruise and take your gear with you.

JF - Cruises are like a Petri dishes, I always get sick.

TM - Then you might not want to go on one.

TM - If you could have any band play one of your songs what band would it be what song would it be and would it be in your style or their style?

JF - I always love it when bands put their own musical spin on my songs. There are plenty of bands that have covered my songs on their Tribute albums but I would love to see a band like GHOST or Gojira do a song. I know there was a article that "Papa Emeritus" use to sing like me and he doesn't anymore, but that would be really cool. I also know OPETH use to play "Death Metal", there is a video of them covering it.

TM - Who was the first band you saw live can you tell us a story?

JF - I think i saw KISS in the late Seventies and I saw Black Sabbath very early on. I started my first band when I was eleven with "Larry LaLonde" who is in Primus now. For us to go and see a band like Black Sabbath or KISS was food for Thought and thinking i want to be like that is cool.

TM - Is there anything else you want to say to your fans?

JF - Thank you for all these years it's been longer than forty years. Thank you for the support, we would not be here without you. You have brought me through hell and high water and I can't wait to play Australia, Thank You.

TM - Thank you for having this interview with us today we appreciate it.

JF - Thank You.
