Orgy
TM - Hi, this is Amelia and Elizabeth from Twinmusix and we are here with Jay and Carlton from Orgy thank you for having this interview with us today we appreciate it.
JC - Thank You for having us.
TM - You're coming to Australia what can fans expect?
JC - It is Orgy's first time in Australia so we are excited for our shows. We aren't bringing production so it won't be fancy but it will be fun we are looking forward to it.
TM - What can fans expect from your setlist?
JC - A good mix of everything you know and a bunch of Candyass because it's the 25th anniversary. We will also play Vapor Transmission and newer records stuff, we are working on, it will be a good mix of things.
TM - Can you tell us what you are working on currently?
JC - We are working on a bunch of new music. We are working with an Australian label called Golden Robot.
TM - What can we expect from your new songs and when do they come out?
JC - They are going to be heavy and a different scale of heavy but it is going to have the orgy vibes. There is going to be a modern take to it with different elements thrown in lots of different styles like we always do but we are not sure about the release date.
TM - Do you think you will play them on stage in Australia?
JC - We might play them on stage in Australia. We just signed the deal and we are going to try and go pedal to the metal on the new album. Hopefully, we can play the new songs in Australia.
TM - Are there any tourist attractions you want to see in Australia?
JC - I know the cliche, I would love to see the big red kangaroos. We would also like to go to the koala sanctuary and hold a koala but I don't think we are going to have enough time to do sightseeing because we fly into three shows and fly out.
TM - If you could have any band play one of your songs what band would it be, what song would it be and would it be in your style or their style?
JC - I wouldn't mind seeing Bring Me The Horizon or Motionless In White play one of our songs or Death From Above play one of our songs that would be cool.
TM - What was the first band or Artist you saw live, can you tell us a story?
JC - The first ever show I went to was when I was 14. It was the Cinderella Long Cold Winter Tour and it was snowing on the stage and Tom Keifer was coming down from the rafters on this white grand piano it was an epic production.
My first concert was Scorpions, Saxon and Iron Maiden at the Cow Palace San Francisco. I wanted to play and I joined a band in high school. I was very musical growing up but I didn't know I wanted to play till later.
TM - Is there anything else you want to say to your fans?
JC - We are excited to meet all of you and rock out. We will have a good time and we cannot wait to meet all the Australians and catch a few sights.
TM - Thank you for having this interview with us today we appreciate it.
JC - Thank you.
