New Japan pro wrestling review
New Japan Pro Wrestling are The kings of sport and we had the pleasure of hosting them in Sydney this week. The match was held at Quay Centre at Sydney Olympic park, and as the venue was packed out, so you knew it was going to be a great match! There were so many Big names on the bill how could it not be one of the best shows.
Rocky Romero vs Kushida.
The first fight to hit the stage was Rocky Romero vs Kushida. First to take the runway was Rocky Romero, as he walked out into the crowd clapped and cheered, then he got into the ring and eagerly waited for his opponent to walk out. As Kushida walked out to the ring everyone Cheered. As the match started and the crowd went silent, and they put on one hell of a show. When the moves started showing the crowd wild and before you know it, Kushida won the match with his last move "The Armbar."
Yuji Nagata vs Jack J. Bonza.
Next up was Yuji Nagata vs Jack J. Bonza. This one was a Short match but man did they have a lot of energy as they fought. As the fight was drawing to a enx Nagata pulled the "Backdrop Hold" and he won the match.
Evil and Sanada vs Robbie Eagles and Mick Moreti
Evil and Sanada vs Robbie Eagles and Mick Moreti was the first tag team match for the night. The first move Sanada pulled was “tied up”. As Moretti then Eagles tried the same move, they were the ones getting tied up. Sanada nailed Eagles and Moreti with a "Drop kick" and then a huge pop. Eagles took out the champion with a "Magic Killer" and then Moretti made the save, after Eagles fell victim to an Evil STO for the finish.
Damien Slater, Slex, Marcius Pitt, Elliot Sexton and Jonah Rock vs Kenny Omega, Guerrillas of Destiny, Bad Luck Fale, and Chase Owens.
This match was a 10 man tag team match with Damien Slater, Slex, Marcius Pitt, Elliot Sexton and Jonah Rock vs Kenny Omega, Guerrillas of Destiny, Bad Luck Fale, and Chase Owens.
First the "Bullet Club" walked out into the ring the crowd clapped and cheered. As Omega walked out for the match the crowd got out of there seat and cheeted. All the fans got up to give him a high five as he walked pass. The Match started off with a fight between everyone. Omega won the V-Trigger and the One-Winged Angel.
Juice Robinson and Toa Henare vs Lance Archer and Minoru Suzuki
The next match was Juice Robinson and Toa Henare vs Lance Archer and Minoru Suzuki. While Archer was on his way to enter the ring, he was spitting water all over the crowd it looked like a water fountain and the fans in the splash zone definitely got wet. Archer and Suzuki started off the match, Juice got stages in. Toa then elbowed Suzuki. Suzuki then won the match with "Gotch-Style Piledriver."
Tomohiro Ishii vs Gino Gambino
Tomohiro Ishii vs Gino Gambino Versed each other next starting the match with a shoulder block war. Then Gambino striking Ishii. Then Ishii won the match with a "Vertical Drop Brainbuster."
Cody and The Young Bucks vs Kazuchika Okada, Jay White, and Will Ospreay
Everyone entered the ring separately for this match. As Cody and The Young Bucks vs Kazuchika Okada, Jay White, and Will Ospreay. As Cody entered the ring the crowd started chanting “fuck you, Cody” to be followed by “Cody’s a wanker”. As the fans yelled this Cody grabbed the microphone and said "Do you want me to bring my wife out she's backstage" as the crowd cheered to prompt Cody to bring his wife out cody said "your not good enough to meet my wife". Then everyone started wrestling and joined into a pop. Cody and the Bucks did a triple sharpshooter and the crowd were amazed, Cody was then reversed by Okada, who ended up getting the pin on Matt with the Rainmaker.
That was it, the final event of the night and everyone was so disappointed it was over!. After the match had finished Ospreay, White, and Okada promised they would all be back soon and if anyone wanted to meet them they would be at the merch stand.
