KIM WILDE REVIEW

80's British pop Icon Kim Wilde played at the Enmore Theatre last night, with her long blonde hair, spicey red lipstick and black leather jacket with wilde written In sequins down her arms and you knew she was ready to rock.

The house lights dimmed and the light show started, Kim walked on stage and the crowd roared in excitement. The show kicked off with "Rage to Love, Never Trust a Stranger, Water On Glass and Can't Get Enough" and the lively and energetic tunes got the crowd warmed up. As Kim continued the set with "Words Fell Down, Second Time, Pop Music and Trial of Destruction" the fans went Wilde in the mosh pit and the blistering guitar riffs, pounding rhythms and fearless lead vocals created a hard-edged funk vibe.

Kim Wilde's voice was captive and she continued the set with "Four Letter Word, Natural Word and Yours Till The End" and the timeless classics were clear and dynamic throughout the performance and the roaring bass guitar and instrumental breakdowns set the crowd in a groove. As Kim played a crowd favourite "Cambodia", the lyrics echoed through the room and people stood up and started dancing that were seated. The Drum beats and keyboardist performed in perfect harmony as Kim continued with "Love Is Holy, Stone and Can't Have You".

As Kim Wilde interacted with the fans she told them she had been on tour for many years now and they all have the best fun and take the mickey out of each other. They laugh all the time and they all love music. Then Kim introduced the band and said she couldn't do it without them. Kim introduced "Jonny on drums, Paul on bass, Steve on Keyboard, Scarlett as backing vocals and Ricky Wilde on guitar" and asked the crowd to give her band a round of applause. Then Kim Wilde and her band continued to play "View From a Bridge, Chequered Love and Hanging On".

Kim Wilde walked off stage and the crowd knew the set wasn't over, the crowd cheered for more songs and she came out and sang "You Came". As the last song loomed, Kim played "Kids Of America" and the energetic mood was contagious as everyone jumped and danced around and sang the lyrics back to Kim. We were beyond excited to see Kim Wilde in Sydney last night, it was an epic show and we cannot wait for her to hit our shores again so we can become "The Kids Of Australia".
