Tacoma, Washington in 2008.  He is we band that was formed in indie pop He Is We is a fronted by lead singer Rachel Taylor and is twinmusix got to talk to Rachel about her upcoming tour to Australia and how she is ready to be honest to her fans.

TM- What can fans expect from your Australian tour?

R- I'm probably going to cry on stage, it's definitely going to be an experience for sure with a lot of energy.

TM- How have fans responded to your new album He Is We?

R- The response has been really good, it kind of comes back to that honesty thing people have been thankful that it's finally getting to a place where it's very honest with my personal stuff not the perspective of someone else.

TM- What was your writing and recording process on He Is We?

R- I walked into the studio and that's literally it, I played the guitar and the piano. I don't write the songs ahead of time, I just walk into the studio and tackle the demon that are on my shoulder.

TM- How did you come up with your album cover for He Is We?

R- My manager sent it over to me and asked me if I liked it and I really liked it because it's messy but also beautiful.

TM- How do you decide what songs you're going to play on tour?

R- I base of fans preferences.

TM- What's your favourite memory of watching another band play live?

R- Hillsong United when I was a kid it was the first time I had ever seen a band in my life and it change the way I looked at bands.  It turned the song i knew the words, it was turned into an experience and that was something I truly admired.

TM- If you could have any band play one of your songs which band would it be which song and in your style or theirs?

R- It would be cool if Imagine Dragons did one of my songs in their style.

TM- If you had to choose one song title as a Biography title for your band what would it be?

R- And Run as it sums up my whole career.

TM- What's your view on platforms like Spotify and YouTube?

R- I think it's creating an entirely new category. The fact that you can put a drum solo up now and someone is calling you and wanting to endorse you and being featured next to Coldplay and Weezer it's very influential.

TM- What's your favourite memory of being on tour?

R- Seeing someone with a tatto of my song lyrics on them.

TM- Who was your biggest influence to pursue your music career?

R- My dad a big reason why failure was not an option.

TM- Anything else you want to announce to your fans?

R- I am ready to be honest.
