Yes, no yes were the words going through The Triffid last night when we got to watch the Fozzy play in Brisbane. Fozzy is fronted by professional wrestler Chris Jericho and man does he know how to get his fans excited. Chris Jericho (vocalist) and and Rich Ward (guitarist and vocalist) started Fozzy in 1999 and they have been rocking ever since. The other band members are Frank Fontsere on drums, Billey Grey on Guitar and Randy Drake on Bass.
Fozzy kicked off with his hit 'Judas' which has been on the billboard charts and is one of his most well known tracks. He continued the night with songs from his new album 'Judas' and his eleven studio albums. The next songs up were "Drinking with Jesus and One Crazed Anarchist" and everyone was singing, heading and rocking out to the legends on stage.
As fozzy ripped through crowd favourites ‘Burn Me Out, Do you want to start a war, Painless and Lights go out' the fans knew every lyric and were excited to see such a phenomenal show. Fozzy did a fantastic cover of ABBA’s ‘SOS’. Fozzy also did a cover of AC/DC's T.N.T and you can guarantee everyone knew the words to that Aussie classic.
Chris interacted with his fans between each song, and he got the left and right side of the audience to scream "yes, yes, yes" at each other. It quickly changed to "yes, no, yes, no". Chris pulled up girls and guys to dance to his hit 'Burn Me Out' and everyone that got brought up enjoyed themselves immensely.
To close off the night Chris put his towel over his head and said ok, now pretend i have walked off stage and start chanting for one more song and everyone started yelling "one more song". Fozzy ended the night with there hit "Sandpaper" and thanked everyone for coming. Fozzy put on an Amazing show full of fun and one that i will never forget, if you haven't seen Fozzy yet make sure you see them next time they are in Australia or catch them at one of there shows overseas.
