Evergreen Terrace Review

Last night we got to experience three of the best melodic hardcore metal bands who came to headbang and smash some shit up while playing epic sets at the Crowbar in Sydney. As we were waiting with anticipation for the main act Evergreen Terrace we got to rock out with Underminer and Heists, who opened up the night, setting the mood and warming up the stage for the main act Evergreen Terrace.

First to hit the stage was Underminer, their intense vocals and heavy guitar riffs drew you into the songs, setting the tone for the night. The crowd was head banging and moshing for the entire set  just from this alone you knew it was going to be an edgy and interesting night.

Heists was up next and they were jumping around the stage with no plans of stopping which made the fans join in, the mosh pit looked like a pulsing heartbeat, the band and the pit coming together to break the floor. Arms and legs from fans were flying through the air, it was intense and not a mosh pit for the faint hearted.

Evergreen Terrace a band named after a street in the Simpsons hit the stage and everyone got in their moshing positions ready for every song. Evergreen Terrace opened with "Enemy Sex". The crowd started kicking their legs in the air as the heavy bass lines and drums beats washed over them. The energy in the room was electric and the head banging and moshing got more and more intense as the guitarist kept striking the cords.

Evergreen Terrace played classics like "Zero" and "Chaney Can't Quite Riff Like Helmet's Page Hamilton" this gave us further demonstration of how diverse the genre is. As the audience was rocked through the journey of their setlist the crowd was singing the lyrics back to the band. Andrew the lead singer in the band held his microphone out to the crowd so people could join in with the lyrics over the speakers. The fans and band alike were so into it the microphone even got disatached from the cord leading Andrew to quickly attach it to keep going with the show.Evergreen Terrace a band named after a street in the Simpsons hit the stage and everyone got in their moshing positions ready for every song. The banter on the stage between the band was funny and whitty, they talked about how they stopped for fast food six, eight or even ten times and detailed how they turned a ten hour drive into a twelve hour drive. It made everyone laugh and you could definitely relate to a long drive, I mean It is Australia after all.

We got to watch an epic show that was full of fun and headbanging. If you haven't seen them live, you should definitely check them out.
