DREMERS CRIME INTERVIEW

dreamers crime.jpg

Dreamers Crime are a five piece band from Sydney Australia. After recording an EP in 2012 with Bradley Smee (Drums) and Daniel Di Pietro (Bass), the band sought to create an album that would captivate the hearts of those who heard it, and experience the efforts made by those who wrote the songs.

Following on from two year’s worth of writing and gigging in Australia, including opening a Rugby League pre-game show at ANZ stadium, the boys returned to the recording studio for their upcoming album and began working with Stevie Knight and Dave Petrovic at Electric Sun Studios. In 2017 Dreamers Crime released 'No Compromises’.

We got to speak to Peter about the upcoming tour and more.

TM - What can fans expect from your upcoming Asia tour?

DC - We are heading up to Southeast Asia so it's the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore. We are looking forward to Aussie metal and hard rock hitting the shores.

TM - How was your experience last time in the Philippines?

DC - Crazy, absolutely crazy. We had no idea what we were in for a good friend of ours. For the whole tour we had no idea about anything, he said trust me it will be good. When we got there everyone was loosing their shit, we had an amazing time.

TM - Can you tell us a crazy tour story from that trip?

DC - I don't know if you called this crazy but no one was allowed to know where we were staying because everyone wanted to follow us back to our accommodation.

We went to an island and the first night we got there we went out drinking and then we went driving down the road. I looked to my left and I saw this massive billboard and in my pissed state, I rubbed my eyes look again. It was us on the billboard and then we go play the show the next night. The next day we got told that the mayor wants to see us and have a chat.

TM - What are you most looking forward to on the tour?

DC - An isolated beach and pina coladas.

TM - You brought out your new album no compromise in 2017, how did you choose which songs would be singles?

DC - We recorder songs with the producer and the all picked it out together after we listened to the whole Album.

TM - Will you bring out any new albums?

DC - We will hopefully start Writing as soon as we get back and bring out something weather its a song, Ep or Album mid this year.

TM - You played a pregame show at the rugby league at the ANZ Stadium how did that come about?

DC - I used to work at the Canterbury Leagues and do a lot of work for the board of directors. I have a good relationship with them so I emailed the CEO and asked if he mind if you played pre game and he hooked us up.

TM - If you could have any band play one of your songs which band would it be which song and in your style or theirs?

DC - Myles Kennedy playing any of our songs.

TM - If you could collaborate with any artist who would it be and why?

DC - Dave Grohl he has an amazing energy.

TM - If you could play any festival what would it be and why?

DC - I would be happy to play any festival.

TM - Anything else you want to announce to yur fans?

DC - Nah we are going to keep it a surprise at the moment and on February 10th, we are playing Frankies Pizza.
