Twinmusix talk to Dead City ruins about their new album and more

What can fans expect from your new album Never Say Die?

Compared to our last album it's a much more streamlined, much less bullshit approach.

What was your writing and recording process for Never Say Die?

We tour so much so we tend to write a lot of stuff on the road, and when we have days off. When we decided to make the album we got together in a rehearsal room in Melbourne and took all the songs we wrote overseas and fine tuned them, and bring them into a cohesive unit.

How did you come up with your album cover
Never Say Die?

We had a general Vibe of what we wanted to go for we gave a good friend of ours the photos and said this is the general idea. We wanted to go for a real 70s type of vibe and he put it together for us.

If you could have any band play one of your songs which band would it be which song would it be I want to be in your style of their style?

Slayer or Black Sabbath doing one of our songs.

What's your favourite tour memory?

We've had a pretty crazy tour life, we've being thrown in foreign jails, we've been deported, we've been in street fights with gangs, on the other side of the coin they've meet people who are friends for life.

Can you tell us something that's happened at a festival?

We played at a metal festival in Dubai and halfway through the festival they had to stop all the bands from playing and turn all the noise off so they could have prayer.

How do you decide what songs you're going to play on tour?

We get together in rehearsal and come up with two sets, we will come up with a 45 minutes set and a 1 hour set depending on what tour we are doing.

If you had to choose any one of your song's as a biography for your band what would you choice and why?

The title of this album "Never Say Die" over the years in this band we have had so many opportunities to give up but we don't give up we never say die.

What's your favourite band you've seen live?

I don't think I've ever seen a better band than Iron Maiden  I saw them in 2003 in England and they were amazing.

Anything  you'd like to announce their fans?

We will be announcing shows soon and I like to see everyone at a show.
