Twinmusix Chat With Claim the Throne About There Tour And More
What can fans expect from your Australian tour?
They can expect the usual fun on stage and a good time. Have a couple of drinks and party a bit we like to get the crowd involved. With the new album it's a bit more serious on the music side when we are on stage. It will be heavier and louder.
Who wrote your new album and what state was the music recording process?
This album is the second album we have written with this line-up, this time even more influenced by the style of music he wanted to do and you which direction we wanted to go in.
We all wrote the song separately this time and then we jammed in a rehearsal room for a month with all our idea's, this time of your head pretty equal input of the songs and we wrote about 2 or 3 songs each and all had the same idea and a natural sound.
Our drummer recorded the drums in the proper recording studio, and we recorded the rest of the album at people's houses.
How do you decide what songs make Final Cut for the album and what songs make singles?
For the singles we try and pick what we would think would be the strongest contender and as a band we choose what songs we like the best for the album.
How did you come up with your album cover?
Our vocalist organised the new cover for album as we were going in a darker heavier direction we thought we would try something new.
If you could have any band play one of your songs which song and in your style or theirs?
Spirit of fire by wintersun in there style.
Can you tell us a story’s about touring with wintersun?
They are really awesome guys, this was their first Australian tour and they were really excited to get down here, got on with them really well. We went to a metal bar in Japan it's nice to talk to them.
Can you tell us more about your podcast?
It just started as a bit of fun, we have always been a DIY band like booking your own shows and tours, managing ourselves and recording our own albums, Every episode is informative about how you can be in a band and make it all work for yourself, the podcasts have guests from the Australian music industry and they talk shop.
How did you all meet?
Back when the bands formed they were all high school buddies, Jim use to go away for work so I use to fill in a lot and when there guitarist left the band I joined.
Anything else you want to announce to your fans?
We based the tour around the Australia day long weekend so that's a good time to party. Come down and have a listen and say hello.
