Cherie Currie Review

Hot Machine from Melbourne Australia, rocked the Crowbar last night, and we got to watch Sammy O'Keefe, Sarsha Marsden, Brittany Britten, Jess Maio and Jess Turner kill it.

Hot Machine kicked off their set with Red Hot Summer , She's on the Cash and Fuel 2 Fire and they commanded the attention of the crowd as the bands raw, powerful guitar and bass lines bounce off the walls. As the set continued with Shots Fired , Bad Hands  and Burnt the band's performance was a masterclass in dynamic rock, blending fierce guitar riffs and pounding drums with moments of melodic grace. Each member showcased their unique talent as they continued with Heartbreaker, Speed Machine and Sweetlick and it created a cohesive and electrifying sound that left the audience wanting more. The set concluded with Ruff Ridin Rebel's  and they showed us what they were made of and left with new fans.

The legendary Cherie Currie, (voice of The Runaways) delivered an electrifying performance at the Crowbar Last Night, and captivated the audience from the word go. As Cherie kicked off the set with "Queens Of Noise" her raw energy and powerful vocals demonstrated the rock and roll power, proving her enduring stage presence and genuine connection with her fans. Next up was California Paradise , Roxy Roller and Mr. X and the Electrifying Guitar, Powerful Bass and Beating Drums ran through our veins, and the crowd went wild.

The set continued with It's alright , You Wreck Me and C'mon and each song was delivered with more enthusiasm and musical precision than the next, and the audience enthusiastically sang along to every word. The guitar was shredded, the bass grooved, and the drums pounded, the trio's energy was contagious, filling the venue with a raw, powerful sound. The intricate bass lines intertwined with the drums driving rhythm, creating a solid foundation for the guitarist's blistering riffs. It was a masterclass in rock and roll musicianship.

In between songs, Cherie stage presence was both genuine and captivating, as she interacted with the audience through personal stories, and the band's chemistry showed their tight musicianship. Cherie's raw, weathered voice shone through with emotion as the set continued with Is It Day or Night? and American Nights and every lyric, chord and drum beat filled our souls with a sense of nostalgia that reminded us why this music is so bad ass.

Cherie Currie commanded the stage with the same rebellious swagger she had as a teenager, as she delivered her powerful vocals on her last iconic song "Cherry Bomb", and she made us have a true authentic rock and roll experience.

As Cherie Currie walked off stage,  the crowd cheered for one more song,  and Cherie and her band walked back on stage and played "Rebel Rebel" by "David Bowie", and it made her shows an emotional and unforgettable experience with a mix of her former band's classics and impressive solo work.
