BURNING WITCHES REVIEW
Last night we buckled up for three brutal bands Thraxas!, Temtris and Burning Witches at the Manning Bar in Sydney.
Thraxas! wasted absolutely no time launching into their set with " "Concrete Cowboy and Sentenced To Debt" " and the tracks hit you like a freight train. As they played, Drummer "Izak Easterbrook" was a force of nature, and his beats shook the very foundations of the venue. Guitarist, "Aleks Rad", delivered blistering riffs that could crush continents and Frontman "Chris "Bull" Woods" vocals commanded the crowd with intensity and captivated the fans.
As the setlist continued with "Blast Shadows and Seven Side Strike" the energy was infectious and the mosh pit erupted into a swirling vortex of headbanging fury and Dan Andrews delivered powerful bass lines.
The relentless set finished off with "ViolentVocation and Cthulhu Rising" , and the set showcased Thraxas! Intricate sound. The bone-crushing metal was delivered with passion and energy that was truly electrifying.

Temtris were next up, and they are a force to be reckoned with on the Australian and international stage. Temtris brought us a Night of Fury and Fire as they kicked off the set with "Khaos Divine" and the energy of pure metal was conjured and delivered.
The set continued with "Forever and The Lies Become the Truth" , and the energy from Temtris was unleashed upon the roaring crowd with a performance that was nothing short of electrifying. As Genevieve's vocals echoed through the venue, her magnetic and captivating blend of raw power seamlessly transitioned through the setlist, and it shook you to your core. Her soaring, melodic lyrics sent shivers down your spine, and commanded attention.
The tight and ferocious set continued with "The World Is Bleeding Out and Evolution of Hate" , and the intricate and blistering riffs were brought by Anthony Fox and Donovan Taylor, and it was anchored by the thunderous bass of "Vane Danov". The upbeat drumming of "Nicholas Bolin," was a force of nature, driving each track forward with relentless precision.
The setlist was a masterclass in dynamic metal, as Temtris played their blistering encore, "Race to the End and All We Are" and they showcased the band's depth and songwriting powers, and the band was brimming with talent and passion.
Temtris is a band destined for bigger stages, and you'll want to say you saw them when they were tearing up smaller venues like the Manning Bar.

Burning Witches, cast a potent spell over the Manning Bar last night, and they delivered a performance that left no doubt in our mind, that they had power in the metal scene. The enthusiastic crowd let out a roar of excitement as the set kicked off with "Unleash the Beast and Wings of Steel", and Burning Witches brought their classic-infused, high-octane metal, in spades.
The set continued with "Maiden of Steel, Nine Worlds and The Dark Tower", and it hit with the force of a lightning strike, showcasing the band's tight musicianship. Laura's impressive vocal range, was displayed in full force as she seamlessly transitioned from powerful belts to piercing screams.
The blazing setlist continued with "Evil Witch, Dance With the Devil and Black Widow", and the Guitar duo Romana Kalkuhl and Courtney Cox were a constant whirlwind of energy, trading blistering solos and laying down thick, crunchy riffs that formed the backbone of the band's sound. Their chemistry was evident as they moved across the stage, and they engaged with each other and the captivated audience.
Each song was delivered with a passion and intensity as the set kicked into "Hexenhammer and Flight of the Valkyries" and Burning Witches demonstrated their ability to blend melodic elements with their signature heavy sound. Lala's drum work provided a rock-solid rhythmic foundation, and it was delivered with precision, and it drove each song forward with intense momentum.
As the crowd continued headbanging along with the music, Burning Witches played "The Spell of the Skull and The Witch of the North" , and the devil horns flew in the air. Jay grabbed the spotlight as her soaring, rhythmic and harmonic rocking bass lines filled the venue and brought a powerful force that amplified the concert experience.

The energy in the room reached one hundred as the crowd asked for 10 more songs and Burning Witches only had enough time to play the final tracks "Lucid Nightmare and Burning Witches" played. It was a true heavy metal celebration, leaving the audience chanting and cheering for this epic set.
Even though there were a few technical problems throughout the evening Burning Witches, Temtris and Thraxas! delivered a night of powerful passion, and their energy shone through, they are undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with. This performance left a lasting impression, and here's hoping they return to our shores soon!
