Twinmusix go to interview Kyle Anderson from Brand of Sacrifice about their upcoming tour and more.

TM - Hi, this is Amelia and Elizabeth from Twinmusix and we are here with Kyle from Brand Of Sacrifice, thank you for having this interview with us today we appreciate it.

KE - Thanks for having me.

TM - You are coming to Australia what can fans expect?

KE - Bands can expect our greatest hits and a high energy set.

TM - What can fans expect from your setlist?

KE - I think we will be playing most of our most streamed songs for the most part. We will be playing songs from our first ep and our album "Lifeblood" and this EP "Between Death and Dreams", so a little bit of everything.

TM - What's your favourite song to play live?

KE - I think the title track "Lifeblood" is my favourite because there is normally a wall of death for that song.

TM - Is there anything you are looking forward to doing in Australia?

KE - I did a few tourist activities last time I was in Australia. I am just looking forward to checking out everything I can with the time that I have. I haven't seen any koalas yet, so I still have to see those.

TM - There is a cool place about an hour drive from Brisbane called Paradise Country, they do an awesome koala holding experience.

KE - That's awesome.

TM - You brought out "Between Death and Dreams" in 2023, are you working on any new music?

KE - We are, I was just recording the new album today. We are working on that. We are pretty deep into the writing and recording at the moment, we are just ironing out a few things. We are overarching the concept and everything is going well.

TM - Do you know when it will be released?

KE - I think sometime next year, but we are not one hundred per cent when it's going to be released yet. We are hoping to have it all wrapped up by the end of the year and have it submitted for mixing. We will get the vinyl produced.

TM - well I'm sure everyone will be excited about that and we will look out for your new music.

KE - I am very excited, I think it will be some of the best work yet.

TM - What was your writing and recording process for your new album?

KE - I do everything at home and so does Leo, the producer of the band and the main songwriter. I like to be able to record in the comfort of my own studio, sit on things let them marinade and come back to it. Sometimes when you book Studio time you have only that amount of time to do things, so that's why I record at home. I like to have some more Freedom with it. Leo will normally start at his house then send me some ideas and then we will go back and forth remotely and then I will send what I am working on to him and so forth.

TM - What can fans expect from your new album?

KE - It will be the most heavy music that we have released. It will be a lot more refined and raw in some ways but still dense and electronic for other song. There is a lot of stuff going on, I like and I think it is the best that we have done. In this album, we have been more honed in and more mature. I know everyone says that but we think it is that.

TM - Will you the new album?

KE - yes hopefully next year at the end of the year. It will be our first solo headline tour as a band we haven't done that yet.

TM - That would be exciting, congratulations.

KE - Thank you.

TM - If you could have any band play one of your songs what band would it be, what song would it be and would it be in your style or their style?

KE -
It would have to be a band totally different genre. It will be funny to see The Midnight do it in their style. It would have to be one of our electronic songs that would suit their synth Pop synth style, between "Death and Dreams" that song would be a good choice because it is more melodic.

TM - What was the first band you saw live and can you tell us a story?

KE - The first ever real band I went to see was probably System of a Down in 10th grade. Prior to that I had only been Christian artists I had seen at church. SOAD was my first show and it was at a hockey/ Basketball arena. I saved up all my money to go to it back when you have to go to a box office and buy tickets. There was not an online option and I went with one of my best friends to that show and we are still best friends. I have a lot of fond memories of the show they are always great live.

TM - They are awesome. Did they inspire you to play live music?

KE - I would say they inspired me to play live. I would say Linkin Park more inspired me to play live, I have always been a huge fan of Linkin Park. They have been a huge gateway to heavy metal for me. Limp Bizkit was also one of my favourites and they had some hip-hop vibes but they were also heavy. Then I slowly got more into heavy metal, metalcore and deathcore.

TM - What's your favourite memory of watching someone else perform live, can you tell us a story?

KE - I still have fond memories of the shows in halls and Scout halls in my community. I wanted to play live music. I saw other local bands start there too. This one local band had really good vocals at the time and that inspired me to want to do vocals. I just loved those local bands when I was in high school. I have fond memories of those bands. I have friends from different cities and everyone that is involved in the scene and the culture and that was the one time you got to see your friends. The music scene ks is not quite like that anymore, but it was a good time.

TM - Is there anything else you want to say to your fans?

KE -
We are looking forward to ripping up these shows with Thy Art is Murder. They are great guys. We have toured with them before so I think it will be a bunch of great parties and a bunch of fun.

TM - Thank you for having this interview with us today we appreciate it.
