Twinmusix Chat With Ramon From Bleeding God's About Their Upcoming Album And More
You joined the Nuclear blast family, how did that happen?
Nuclear blast had been following the band but, there was no real interested in signing us. Then in 2016 we recorded three new tracks for a promo and then nuclear blast got more interested,so we decided to record a full album. We did photo shoot for the album cover and the booklet, we offered the full package and they were interested.
Who designed the album booklet and album cover?
The album cover was designed by Demetrius, and the photography was from a Dutch company and Crystal did them.
Your album tells the complete story of Hercules from start to finish, what inspired you to write about ancient history for your album?
On the previous album we also had some subjects about ancient history, more diverse ones, so every track was about a different time in history. This time we wanted to do a concept album and we had a few subjects to choose from. The vocalist Mark came up with the idea of the 12 labours of Hercules, it was a challenge to write 12 tracks of one story, but also with 12 stories in it. It was a level higher than the previous album and a real challenge for us.
On the 12th of January you are releasing your new album what can fans expect?
I think a really epic album! It's still death metal with a really thrash metal edge on it, we added some black metal riffs. The big difference with the last album was the orchestras and the keyboards.
In 2015 you got new band members, what made you get new band members and go in a different direction?
I think you have to have a connection on a musical level and a social level and that didn't work in the previous lineup, so there was a lineup change after the recording of Shepherds of Souls. We also wanted to make more music instead of just metal and blast beats, the new band members have their heads going in the same direction.
What stage gear do you use?
I use Serpent King guitars, our guitar player is the owner of it so he builds my guitars, in January I receive a new guitar! Our bass player uses Ibanez, cabs are Hesu.
If you could have any band play one of your songs, which song and in your style or theirs?
Dimmu Borgir playing Triple Anger in their style
You are playing metaldays next year, can you tell us more about it?
We were going to potato festival even before we were signed to nuclear blast, the festival is fully booked now.
Do you have any plans to come to Australia?
We are planning a tour to Japan and in our eyes Australia is close to Japan so hopefully we can come to Australia.
How did you come up with your band name?
I wanted to choose a name that had to do with a god.
Anything else you want to announce to your fans?
We hope to come to Australia soon! We are still planning our tours and festivals for 2018 and 2019.
