HOW DID YOUR FANS RESPOND TO YOUR SONG MOONLIGHT (REACH THE SKY)?
The respond has been absolutely fantastic! Not only on the internet and social media, but from fans at the shows as well. A fun fact is actually that we didn’t plan to record the song at all. We decided that if we had time enough for one more song we would record Moonlight (Reach the Sky). Lucky us that we got the time!
WHAT’S YOUR CRAZIEST FAN STORY?
We were booked for a festival out in the middle of nowhere in the southern of Sweden.
We had no idea where we were and if it was going to be any audience at all because of the odd location. We listened to some other bands before our show and became more and more sceptical to the festival because it was so few in the audience at the moment. While we were checking out the area, a man asks us if we were the band REXORIA. He got extremely excited and tells us that the only reason he were there was because of our band. We felt honoured that the man payed €50 for the festival ticket and €100 for taking himself there just to see us.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT MUSIC?
That you can create music that you love! That you can make music that you love to play, sing and listen to. There’s no limit when you make music and the outcome is always as you want since we never just say “it’s not great but it works, so we can move on with the next song”. We listen to every note and we will chance it until we get goose bumps. That’s when you know that the music is perfect!
WHAT SUBJECTS DO YOU SIGN ABOUT IN YOUR MUSIC?
The song lyrics if often quite dark. It’s usually about a person who has lost him or herself.
We try to make lyrics that stand out and have real thought behind it. We want the audience to feel something for the lyrics.
WHAT’S THE HARDEST THING YOU’VE EVER DO AS A BAND?
We haven’t had any big problems yet, knock on wood. Our guitarist Cristofer lives a bit from here and sometimes we have some issues getting the band together for rehearsals, interviews and more. But we have close contact in the band and if someone misses out on anything we make sure that the person gets the information.
HOW HAS YOUR MUSIC CHANGED FROM WHEN YOU FIRST STARTED?
We have tried to not change the style at all. When we started REXORIA we were very strict what kind of music we want to play and put out some guidelines to follow.
IF YOU COULD PICK ANY MUSIC FESTIVAL TO PERFORM AT (IN THE WORLD), WHAT MUSIC FESTIVAL WOULD YOU PICK AND WHY?
Wacken! This is a place where so many (living and dead) legends have played. Of course you want to have a show where your idols have played. Besides, Germany really supports rock and heavy metal, which means it’s a great country to have a show in.
WHAT BANDS INFLUENCED YOUR STYLE OF MUSIC?
There are influences of a bunch of bands in our music. Avantasia, Hammerfall and Iron Maiden just to name a few.
WHAT BRAND INTERMENTS DO YOU USE?
Gibson guitars, Marshall AMP, Blackstar AMP, Tama drums w. Sabian cymbals
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE CONCERT MEMORY?
When Frida called us all and told us to take the next day of work to go to Stockholm and play with Hardcore Superstar and Electric boys!
We got the chance to play at Rock the Boat (a festival on a Swedish cruise with big bands). It’s was a great day and everyone got really excited!
HOW DID YOUR BAND FORM? AND HOW DID YOU DECIDE WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC YOU WERE GOING TO PLAY?
We had a band before this but did not feel the music was quite right.
We decided to create REXORIA and we would play music that we love to listen to!
AS WE ARE PROMOTING YOUR BAND, IS THERE ANYTHING COMING UP LIKE ALBUM LAUNCHES OR TOUR DATES YOU WOULD LIKE US TO PROMOTE ON OUR SITE FOR YOU?
We are going to record three songs in a big and great studio in Gothenburg called Studio Fredman where bands such as In Flames, Hammerfall and Arch Enemy have been recording. When the recording is done we are going to release an album with all our released song. The release of the album will be in a few months.
