Polaris and The Devil Wears Prada graced our shores in Sydney Australia and we could only anticipate what was going to happen next. The venue was so pack you could hardly move and the mosh pit and crowd surfing was relentless. This show was one hell of a sight and i was excited to be part of the audience.

 

The Devil Wears Prada kicked off the Sydney show at the Metro for Polaris last night and man did they rock. For those who don't know The Devil Wears Prada they are a Hardcore, Metal bands out of Chicago, San Diego. The members of the band are Mike Hranica on Vocals and Lyrics, Jeremy DePoyster on Guitar and Vocals, Andy Trick on Bass and Kyle Sipress on Guitar. The Devil Wears Prada played hits from their newest album as well as their back catalog which consists of 10 albums. They played songs including "Mammoth, Worldwide, Assistant and Danger"

Next up was the main act Polaris fromSydney’s south, the band consists of Jamie Hails on vocals, Jake Steinhauser on bass/vocals, Ryan Siew on guitar, Rick Schneider on guitar and Daniel Furnari on drums. They have built up a reputation as one of the most exciting live metal acts and man did they prove that fact to be true last night. They played songs from their backlog of albums.

 

The fans were yelling "Polaris" and as they dimmed everyone in the venue started cheering. Polaris kicked off their set with "The Remedy" there was crowd surfing from the word go and everyone was so excited to be there.

 

Next up was "L'apple du vid" a confetti cannon went off and blue and white confetti filled the room. Next up was "Casualty, The Slow Decay, Dusk to Day, Relapes and Voiceless". Jamie stopped and spoke to his fans, he thanked everyone for the constant support of their band and told everyone he was really excited to be their.

Next up was "Frailty, I'm somnus veritas, No Rest, Sonder, Consume". Red confetti went over the crowd when "Licid" came on, it was a fantastic set, and Jamie thanked their fans again. The stage went black and Polaris walked off the stage. The fans started yelling "one more song". Polaris walked back on stage and played "Crooked Path" as their final song. What a fantastic night full of energy and fun. If you haven't been to see polaris and The Devil Wears Prada i suggest you go and rock out with these bands as they put on one night you are never going to forget.
