PHIL H ANSELMO REVIEW

Phil H Anselmo and the Illegals played at the Factory Theatre Last night playing songs from both bands Phil H Anselmo and hits from Pantera as a tribute to Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell. It was an empowering night full of remembrance and metal.

Palm & Potion kicked off the night to be followed by King Parrot. The performances from both bands were crazy except  I don't think we were ready for what was up next.

The lights went dark and Phil H Anselmo and the Illegals walked out on stage and stared the night playing their songs "little fucking heros" to be followed by "choosing mental illness". The night was crazy from the word go and their were crowd suffers flying over the barriers, it set the scene for a crazy night full of fun.

The night kept on going strong with heavy guitar riffs great singing and crowd surfing Phil also asked the crowd to split down the middle and start as many mosh pits as possible while playing more of his songs which were "Ignorant Point", "Photo" and "Walk through exits only".

Phil dedicated the next part of the set to Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell from Pantera opening with the song "Mouth Of War" which was released 1992 in off the Vulgar Display of Power Album followed by another hit song "Becoming".

Phil introduced his band members and then thanked all the bands for being there and supporting them. Then he invited Matt young from King Parrot,  on stage to come and sing "Broken" with him. Phil asked the crowd to help him out with the next song of the night "Walk". The crowd was singing along to every word followed by another hit "Fucking Hostile" the crowd was head banging along to every word. From the front to the back you could see the craziness in this mosh pit.

Phil H Anselmo and the Illegals walked off stage and the crowd cheered. Phil came back on stage and played "New Level" to finish off an amazing night full of metal and tributes. It was a crazy night that was off the charts. If you haven't seen Phil H Anselmo and the Illegals yet I recommend going, it is not a show to be missed.
