HOW DO YOUR FANS DESCRIBE YOUR MUSIC?

CHRIS - The best description from a fan after a show was, “watching you guys live is like being fisted and then twisting it… and have I told you how much I love being fisted?”  We thought that was so funny we wrote the song “Fist and Twist.”

HEBER- What Chris said was one of the best description we heard of our music..Lol. They describe it as very high energy sing along just plain fun rock n roll.

WHAT’S YOUR CRAZIEST FAN STORY?

CHRIS -  We had someone drive 10 hours to see us play in Europe once.  And then there are the ones that have our band name tattooed on them.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT WITH YOUR FANS?

CHRIS -  To me I love being on stage seeing them sing our songs back to us, and they are letting loose and having fun.  That’s what it’s all about.

HEBER - Yes, having them sing along to our music is an awesome feeling. I had a fan tell me how our music got her through her cancer treatments. To hear something like that is just a feeling you can’t explain.

WHAT BANDS INFLUENCED YOUR STYLE OF MUSIC?

CHRIS -  As a band it’s a combination of a lot of different stuff.  Personally I’m influenced by 70’s punk, sleaze/glam rock and early thrash metal.

HEBER - It’s all over the place. Personally Kiss had a very big influence on me.

WHAT BRAND INSTRUMENTS DO YOU USE?

CHRIS -  Right now I’m playing a Ibanez Artcore hollow body live.  I use a Gibson Blackbird in the studio.

HEBER- I use Gibson Les Paul’s and nothing else.

HOW DID YOUR BAND FORM? AND HOW DID YOU DECIDE WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC YOU WERE GOING TO PLAY?

CHRIS -  Heber and Jimmy originally put the band together, and they found Joe through an ad on Craigslist.  I knew Jimmy from around town.  I wasn’t doing anything at the time so he asked me to join, and here we are.

HAVE YOU CHANGED ANY MEMBER’S SINCE YOU FIRST STARTED?

HEBER - No, this is the original line up and we plan on keeping that way.

HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH YOUR BAND NAME AND LOGO?

HEBER- The name is based on a European fetish porn star that kicked guys in the balls. Lol. It started as a joke at first but the more we thought about it we liked it and it stuck!

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOUR BANDS SOUND IN THE FUTURE, ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A SIMILAR SOUND OR ARE YOU GOING TO GO IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION?

CHRIS - What we do is what we do.  There is not a lot of thought put behind it to be honest.  We get in a room and write songs, and if we like them, we keep them.  We may grow as a band, but I don’t see our overall sound changing.

HEBER - I think as we grow as a band the sound may change a bit naturally on it’s own. We don’t sit there and say okay let’s change our sound. We just want to write cool songs, whatever happens we take it from there.

WHAT CHALLENGES HAVE YOU OVER COME AS A BAND?

CHRIS - There are so many bands out there today that it can sometimes be difficult to get heard through all of the clutter.  We had to scream pretty loud and stay in people's faces to get where we are.

HEBER - We can probably write a whole book on challenges. Lol. It’s hard work to try and stay somewhat relevant.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU ALL KNOWN EACH OTHER? HOW DID YOU MEET?

HEBER - I think Chris and Jimmy have known each other the longest from seeing each other around town.

TELL US A RANDOM FACT ABOUT YOURSELF THAT FANS DON’T KNOW?

CHRIS -  Hmmm I did background work for a few years and you can catch glimpses of me in the movies/tv shows Flight, Ring of Fire, Drop Dead Divas, Necessary Roughness, Solace and a bunch of other stuff.  I was a recurring vampire on the first season of The Originals, and I’ll be in the upcoming remake of Jacobs Ladder

HEBER - I’m a big sports fan, I love to play golf and coached football for many years.

WHO WRITES THE MUSIC IN YOUR BAND OR DO YOU ALL WRITE IT TOGETHER?

HEBER - It’s always a team effort.

DID YOU START OFF WRITING YOUR OWN MUSIC OR DID YOU START OFF DOING COVERS?

CHRIS - My first real band was a cover band and we did everything from Ramones, Sex Pistols to Sammy Hagar.

HEBER - To me it’s always been about original music, although I’ve played in a few cover bands before.

ARE YOU SIGNED WITH ANY RECORD LABEL’S? IF YES WHO?

CHRIS -  Yes, we are signed to Danish label Mighty Music.

COULD YOU BRIEFLY DESCRIBE YOUR MUSIC MAKING PROCESS?

HEBER - There’s really no formula, someone comes with an idea and we take it from there. It’s really going to sound good to us or not. If it does than we take it from there.

WHAT SUBJECTS DO YOU SING ABOUT IN YOUR MUSIC?

CHRIS -  Not to sound generic, but we mainly write about life…  people we know, things we’ve experienced… whether it’s a stripper, a relationship or just a situation we’ve been in.

AS WE ARE PROMOTING YOUR BAND, IS THERE ANYTHING COMING UP LIKE ALBUM LAUNCHES OR TOUR DATES YOU WOULD LIKE US TO PROMOTE ON OUR SITE FOR YOU?

CHRIS -  We will be releasing our new album “Imaginary Creatures” at the first of August.

HEBER - Yes, and there’s a whole bunch of tour dates that we have on our website also.
