DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT
The UK’s Most Extreme Metallers To Make Their Debut Australian Appearance At Dark Mofo + Announce Side Shows In Brisbane & Sydney
“a systematic rite of destruction leaving no synapse or nerve ending unscathed” Metal Hammer
Elusive UK extremists, Dragged Into Sunlight will descend on Australia for three uncompromising shows this June.
The band will make their debut appearance at the legendary Dark Mofo event in Tasmania as well as exclusive shows in Brisbane and Sydney.
Known only by their initials, Dragged Into Sunlight play their hate filled extreme metal with their backs to the audience. Since releasing their 2011 debut, Hatred For Mankind, these musical anarchists have set the benchmark for what’s possible within the genre.
Channelling their rage into unholy sonics that see every note lobotomised, every scream exorcised and every beat pummelled into submission, Dragged Into Sunlight are pure aural madness.
Having gained notoriety for their exclusive, vicious and ritualistic live performances, Dragged Into Sunlight have established a growing presence throughout Europe, Asia and the US and now their sights are set on the final frontier, Australia.

Joining Dragged Into Sunlight will be Iceland's Zhrine who will bring their dark, atmospheric extreme metal to the literal opposite side of the world for the first time. Mixing heavy doses of sludge with black and death metal, Zhrine's music is filled with bleak dispair. It's the perfect pairing for an evening of total grimness.
In Brisbane, the night will begin with dissonant atmospheric heaviness courtesy of Sydney death metallers, Golgothan Remains, whilst Sydney's event starts off with some incredible black metal from Canberra's Ploughshare.
Experiencing Dragged Into Sunlight live isn’t just like watching another black metal show, it is an aural assault, a cleansing and purifying of the darkest of souls.
