Spawned in 2011, Blood Incantation spent the past decade establishing a reputation for creating powerful atmospheric death metal with progressive elements, while gradually incorporating more psychedelic and ambient components with each new release. The inevitable zenith of these increasingly exploratory excursions was finally reached and captured once again on analog tape with 2022's Timewave Zero. Echoes of Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd, Lustmord, Popol Vuh and Dead Can Dance are heard on this 40-minute opus, which Bloody Disgusting declares "a breathtaking work of psychedelic heaviness and a great chapter in heavy music's ever-expanding definition."
